10 Huge Things I Did in January

January is considered to be the most depressing month of the year. It's the low that comes after the high of Christmas and New Year. Also, it's too long and nobody has any money left. How can anybody accomplish anything in January?
You can. On December 31 last year, I had no idea that I would be doing all the things listed below in January:
1. Bought a house for a friend
I acted as a proxy and I will be moving my studio there soon. HUGE thing for me. The new place has great energy and more natural light which is essential for me.

2. Launched this blog
What??? Me? Writing about me?? Just ask my friends how many years they've been telling me to do this and I went "What is blogging? What's that? Why would I talk about me? Who the hell cares?" It turns out I have lots to tell the world. Go figure.

3. Wrote
Yes, I wrote. I don't know... all the articles you see on the blog (about 13 at the moment and two more in drafts), with pictures and everything. Ideas come, it's like a never ending flow at the moment. Pff.

4. Published my first tutorial (How to make a baby bunting)
Although I have been doing BabyBooks for over 7 years, I never thought I could teach anybody anything. All of a sudden it dawned on me that not only I know lots of stuff, but also, more importantly, maybe there are people who would benefit from it.

5. Filmed my first tutorial (How to make a baby bunting)
Now this is one thing I'd never thought I'd be doing. Remember "never say never"? Well, don't. I wasn't actually prepared for it in the sense of special clothes, perfect hair and makeup, special filming equipment and fancy lights. No, no, no. It was me, in my studio, talking to anybody who would like to learn how to make a bunting. The moment I stopped making it about me, it became easy. I used my phone and the lights I had around me and just went for it.
6. Learned how to edit my video
Yes, yes. I did it. I figured it out. I think I told you before - one of my biggest struggles is to understand technology and keep up with it. This month I had to get out of my own way and deal with it. It's baby steps, but I made much progress.

7. Launched my channel on YouTube
Well... well... yes. I did it. One thing I'd never thought I'd do. In the morning I was determined to film the tutorial showing only my hands and at the end of the day I ended up with a valid tutorial showing my face and everything. What can I say? I managed to surprise myself as well.

Having fun here, don't interrupt.
8. Gracefully responded to messages
It was an event guys. It really was. From the 4 subscribers to 23 this morning - it was a hit. I was positively dizzy with fame. Everybody was soooo supportive, a lot of thank you's flew around the internet. However, it was really reassuring to see this positive reaction, I ended up taking a day to enjoy it. Thank you guys.🙏

9. Bought an internet domain
At the advice of my friends, bought www.adinacasas.ro and connected it to my blog so it
now looks more like "the business".

I did this. It worked.
10. Liberated myself

If you don't like it, don't watch. But I have scissors.
This is the most important thing I did this month: I stopped worrying about what would people say about my face, my unruly hair and my weight. If they have a problem with that, that's their problem, not mine.
It's a lot to take in, but sometimes we evolve in leaps. I jumped from 2019 straight into 2020, without a safety helmet on. Out of my comfort zone? You bet. But not afraid anymore. Now I am really looking forward to this wild ride, hoping to have you by my side all the way.
