Things I Didn't Know. Until Now.

Updated: Feb 9, 2020

But I kind of feel like I have, since my son has learnt how to speak.
I didn't read this book, I just liked the cover.

My 12 year old is dropping information on my head like crazy. His interests change like the weather so it will be a real mix. There is no place or space for it in my head so I am putting it nicely here. The list will be constantly updated so make sure you come back to it every once in a while.

1. An opera singer was supposed to go on the ISS in 2018. She didn't go.

2. The second Hungarian person to go into space was also the first space tourist.

3. On April 19, 2008 Soyuz TMA 11 landed from the ISS. Somewhere in Kazakhstan.

4. There is no fridge on the ISS. There has been a guitar up there since 2001.

5. After the invention of forks, the human jaw moved backwards a little in order to adjust to the invention. They used to be perfectly aligned and had edge-to-edge bites, like apes.

6. If your son will one day go to the Moon and bring you back moon rocks as a gift, do not taste or smell them! They are toxic, as they are covered in moon dust. (This is good advice.)

7. An extinct bird re-evolved itself into existence.

8. Mushrooms are more animal than plant.

9. The closes thing to Point Nemo , “the oceanic pole of inaccessibility”, is the ISS when it flies over.

- to be continued-

However, we do own this book (and many others of this type as a matter of fact).

If you like kids with various interests, check out this other post about the things my kid said when he was small. He's a character. It's quite funny.
